Bug in iOS 4 prevents email from being sent (Resolved)
A new version of iShare Contacts (v1.4.392) was recently released with a workaround for the following bug. We've had reports of iShare Contacts failing to send email. Sometimes email gets stuck in the outbox, other times it does not even get queued. Apparently a bug in iOS 4 causes this problem. It is not a problem with the iShare Contacts app. The following post in the thread appears to offer a workaround: Popular answer An inactive IMAP account setup for gmail on the iphone will cause this issue! Even if it is not setup to do anything and mail is 'disabled', its existence seems to cause this issue. I was having this exact problem on my iPhone 3g with IOS4, and after deleting the IMAP account I am not. I have a 'normal' gmail account setup to just do email, then an Exchange account setup for the same google account just to sync google calendars (for the multiple google calendar support), and they co-exist just fine now that the inactive IMAP account is gone. |
